Join us as we relive the trip of a lifetime!  See the pilgrims journey across the Atlantic to the shores of Cape Cod.  The trip of 1620 is related through the eyes of the brave pilgrims, we will  see what the ship looked like, the voyage, and Plymouth Plantation.  We will also see the real first Thanksgiving.

Language Learning Tool at BPORT LIBRARY

Bridgeport Public Library is proud to announce that starting November 15 it will offer the online language-learning software by Mango Languages. Free of charge to Bridgeport citizens who have a library card, Mango Languages is a welcome addition to the library for those wanting to study a foreign language easily and at their own pace.

Providing an easy-to-use interactive learning tool, Mango Languages allows remote online access to patrons to learn at their convenience. Mango also features a unique comprehensive teaching approach that actively engages audio and visual cues to assist users in language retention.

Many People know that Jasper McLevy was the Socialist Mayor of Bridgeport, Connecticut from 1933 to 1957. However, did you also know that Jasper Mc Levy also ran for Governor of Connecticut on the Socialist platform?
